The trout lake is 2.5 acres and has a maximum depth of 18 feet. The lake is well stocked with rainbows with an average weight of 2lb. However the lake record currently stands at 11lb 2 oz. There are also brown trout to approximately 8 lb.

Many methods will catch fish with floating lines and wet flies being the most popular.

This is a catch and kill water. Catch and release is not permitted. Please ensure your catch is recorded in the book in the Lodge. This enables us to keep a strict stocking policy.

The trout lake may be fished between 8am to dusk and we are open all year round (excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day). Please report to the lodge upon arrival where tickets may be purchased prior to fishing. Fly fishing tackle may be hired from the lodge. We do not allow wading, boats or gaffs.
